FAQ: Branding
Questions about customizing your workspace appearance and client-facing experience.
How do I add my logo?
Go to Settings > Branding and upload your logo. Your logo will appear on your client portal, invoices, proposals, contracts, and email notifications. You can upload both a light and dark version so it looks right on any background. For more details, see Branding.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. You can connect a custom domain so your client portal runs on something like portal.yourcompany.com instead of yourcompany.plutio.com. Go to Settings > Branding and follow the custom domain setup. You'll need to add a CNAME record with your DNS provider. Full instructions are at Custom domain.
How do I remove "Powered by Plutio"?
This is part of the white-label add-on. Once enabled, all Plutio branding is removed from your client portal, emails, and shared documents. Your clients will only see your brand. Learn more at White-label.
Can I customize what my clients see?
Yes, but the controls live across a few places, not one. Use Settings > Main menu to choose which menu items the Client role sees. Use Settings > User roles to review what the built-in Client role can do (the Client role itself is fixed, but you can add custom roles for non-client teammates). Use Settings > Custom pages to add your own pages to the menu, including pages aimed at clients. Use Settings > Branding for the colours, logo, and login page that frame the whole experience.
Per-document visibility (what shows on a specific proposal, invoice, or contract) is set on each document individually, not in workspace settings.
How do I change my brand colors?
Go to Settings > Branding. You'll find color pickers for your primary brand color and accent color. These colors apply to your client portal, buttons, links, and email templates. Changes take effect immediately. See Branding for the full guide.
Can I customize the email templates?
Yes. Go to Settings > Email templates to edit the email templates for invoices, proposals, contracts, and other notifications. You can change the subject line, body text, and toggle which emails are sent automatically. Your logo and brand colors are applied to all outgoing emails automatically.
