White-label for client portal
The client portal is everything your clients interact with: the login page, the project pages, invoices, proposals, contracts, forms, booking pages, conversations, files, and the wiki. With white-label active, every one of these surfaces carries your branding, your domain, and your email address, with no indication that Plutio is the underlying platform.
How to set up your client portal
The client portal is built from a few separate settings working together, not one master switch. Most of Settings > Branding (custom logo, custom domain, custom sending email, colour palette) requires the white-label add-on. Main menu, custom pages, and user roles work on every plan. Set them up in this order:
- Branding (white-label add-on). Open Settings > Branding to upload your logo, set your brand colours, connect your custom domain, configure your custom sending email, and customise the login and signup pages. Everything in this section frames what the client sees the moment they arrive.
- Main menu. Open Settings > Main menu and customise the menu for the Client role. You can show, hide, rename, and reorder items so clients only see the sections they need.
- Custom pages (optional). Open Settings > Custom pages to create your own pages and add them to the client menu. Useful for a welcome page, an FAQ, or a resource library tailored to clients.
- User roles (reference). Open Settings > User roles to review what the built-in Client role can do. The Client role permissions are fixed and apply to every client. To give different access to non-client teammates, create a custom role from the same page.
- Email templates. Open Settings > Email templates to brand the invite, invoice, proposal, and contract emails clients receive. Your colours and logo apply automatically once Branding is set.
To check what a client sees, create a test client contact, send the invitation to an email address you control, and log in from a separate browser or incognito window. There is no built-in "preview as client" mode, so the test login is the way to verify the experience.
What clients experience
From the moment a client is invited, the entire journey is branded as yours:
- Invitation email: arrives from your custom email address with your logo and brand colours in the template.
- Login page: loads at your custom domain with your logo, background image, and welcome text.
- Workspace interface: the main menu, buttons, and navigation carry your brand palette throughout.
- Documents: invoices, proposals, and contracts display your branding with no Plutio badges anywhere.
- Public pages: forms, booking pages, and wiki articles load under your domain with your styling applied.
- Messenger widget: the chat widget on your website carries your colours and avatar with no platform attribution.
- Ongoing emails: invoice reminders, booking confirmations, and conversation notifications send from your email address with your template and signature.
The full branded journey
A client receives an invitation from your email address, logs in at your domain, views proposals and invoices under your brand, books meetings on your branded booking pages, chats through your Messenger widget, and reads help articles in your wiki. Every touchpoint in that journey carries your identity and your domain.
White-label for the client portal isn't a single setting. It's the result of custom domain, branded login, interface colours, email templates, email signatures, custom sending email, and badge removal all working together, so clients experience your platform from start to finish.
