Preparing Your Data
You can either:
Use our ready-made CSV templates (recommended), or
Upload your own CSV file and match the fields manually using our advanced data-matching tool.
To make sure your import goes smoothly, we suggest using our templates as a starting point. You can download these templates here:
How to Import
1. Head over to the page you’d like to import into — like People, Companies, Tasks, Projects, etc.
2. Click the Import/Export button in the utility bar.
3. Select Import, upload your file, and follow the simple 3-step process:
Step 1: Upload the import file
After preparing your .csv file for import following templates above. Upload your .csv file and click next.
Step 2: Import options
Select the date format used in your .csv.
Select the time format used in your .csv.
Select First row is a header if your .csv contains column title row. Importer will ignore the first row when On.
Step 3: Match dataset
Select from the dropdown the dataset that matches your .csv title row below in step 2.
Here you can see your file's first row. Match the dataset with your title.
Here you can see the first few rows of data in your file and can view all columns by scrolling to the right.
Once all datasets are matched to the provided drop-downs, click Complete import.
That’s it! Your data will be added to Plutio and ready to work with
