The Square workspace integration lets you:
Take card payments through Square’s checkout
Receive funds in the Square account you connect
Offer Square as a payment option wherever Plutio supports online payments (invoices, proposals, schedulers, etc.)
Plutio doesn’t add extra payment fees, but Square charges its own processing fees on successful transactions (see the “Check Square fees” link in the banner).
Go to Settings → Integrations → Square.
Click the big Connect button.
You’ll be redirected to Square:
Log in with the Square account you want to use.
If you have multiple locations, choose the correct one for this workspace.
Approve the connection and continue back to Plutio.
Once connected, the integration will show as active and Square can be used for payments.
After Square is connected, enable it where you want to accept payments:
Invoices / Proposals
Open the document.
In the Payment methods area, turn on Square.
Send it to your client. They’ll see a Square / card option on the hosted invoice page.
Schedulers
Edit a scheduler that should take payment.
In its payment settings, enable Square.
When someone books, they’re sent to Square to complete the payment
Payments go directly into your Square account; Plutio records the payment against the invoice/booking.
If you want to stop accepting Square payments:
Go to Settings → Integrations → Square.
Click Disconnect (or the equivalent option shown after it’s connected).
Square will no longer appear as a payment option on new invoices / proposals / schedulers. Existing paid items keep their history.
-Where do I see fees and payouts?
In your Square dashboard. Plutio only shows that a payment was made and its basic details.
-Can I use different Square accounts per client?
No. One Square account per workspace.
-Client says they paid but the invoice is still unpaid
Check that the payment appears in Square first. If it does and Plutio didn’t update, you can manually Add payment on the invoice and then contact support with the Square transaction ID so they can investigate.
